Extra A Christmas Carol performances added at Leeds Playhouse due to popular demand

Leeds Playhouse is extending the run of festive family favourite A Christmas Carol for a further week. Opening at the end of November, this magical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic story will now run until Saturday 19 January.

It’s Christmas Eve in Victorian Leeds but the cold-hearted Ebenezer Scrooge hasn’t an ounce of Christmas cheer, until he is taken on a whirl-wind adventure through his past, present and future, learning the error of his miserable ways. Filled with Christmas spirit, fun and music, A Christmas Carol will play in the Playhouse’s on-site Pop-Up theatre in association with SOYO Leeds. The production will take audiences on a sumptuous, spine-tingling adventure, with performances running from Tuesday 20 November 2018 to Saturday 19 January 2019.

The particularly high level of demand for tickets in advance has outstripped expectations, with just under 13,000 people already booked in for the production. There is limited availability for performances in November and December, and audiences have been advised to book quickly to avoid disappointment.
