LGBT+ arts project - participants wanted
a) Developing knowledge and understanding of LGBT history and how it interfaced with mainstream society, at the time.
b) Being involved and working with others outside their own social group and age group – under guidance and with clear focus. This will broaden networks and develop friendships.
c) Undertaking a variety of tasks and elements of process. Skills and support can be shared and developed; and participants will experience a sense of completion of each of the stages.
d) Seeing the finishing and completion of the banners and placards. Experiencing satisfaction. Reflecting on the process.
e) As part of a supportive group, performing in a simply choreographed performance; and seeing their items exhibited at a prestigious event and at major civic buildings for enjoyment of the general public will give a sense of personal and collective pride.
