From old cobbled streets to extravagant festive feasts, Ebenezer Scrooge learns the true meaning of this festive time of year in Leeds Playhouse’s magical A Christmas Carol. Spine-tingling, heart-warming and full of Christmas spirit, the production plays until 19 January with almost 19,000 tickets already sold.  

Miser Ebenezer Scrooge, played by Robert Pickavance (Europe, Road, Leeds Playhouse), is joined on stage by young local actors Lipalo Mokete from Leeds and Seb Smallwood from Harrogate, who were both cast as Tiny Tim in an open audition earlier this year.

Adapted by award-winning, West Yorkshire born playwright Deborah McAndrewA Christmas Carol is directed by Leeds Playhouse’s Associate Director Amy Leach (RoadRomeo & JulietKesThe Night Before Christmas, Leeds Playhouse) and designed by award-winning Hayley Grindle (RoadRomeo & Juliet, Leeds Playhouse).  

The classic Dickens tale is being performed in Leeds Playhouse’s unique Pop-Up theatre on the existing Playhouse site, by the Leeds Playhouse Ensemble company.

A Christmas Carol is a Leeds Playhouse production in association with Hull Truck Theatre.
