A SUPERHERO squad has taken over Trinity Leeds in the run-up to the release of the eagerly-anticipated film Avengers: Endgame

Life-sized statues of iconic comic book characters Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Captain America and Spider-Man arrived at the shopping centre today, along with a rare first edition Avengers comic from 1963.

Fans who snap a selfie with their favourite character and share on social media using the hashtag #superheroselfie will be in with a chance of winning a VIP Avengers prize, including Everyman cinema tickets, Entertainer goodies and a Trinity Leeds gift card.

Dan Wharton, Marketing Manager at Trinity Leeds, said: “The new Avengers film is an epic moment in movie history that’s been more than a decade in the making.

“It’s such an exciting time for fans, and we want to help bring some of these iconic characters to life for them – so we’ve assembled this incredible collection which is photo fit for budding superheroes.”

He added: “We’re proud to welcome these remarkable Marvel characters exclusively to Trinity Leeds and we’re sure they’ll be a big hit with visitors.”

The statues will be at Trinity Leeds for one week only – from Monday, April 8th to Sunday, April 14th, and the comic book will be on display on April 8th, 11th and 13th.
