Free Badminton Session - The Bad Mittens

Fancy learning to play badminton, or brushing up on your game if you haven't played for a number of years?

We've a free session available with a Badminton England qualified coach at Armley Leisure Centre, on Wednesday 3rd May 8pm until 9pm.

The Bad Mittens are really excited to be able to offer a once a month session, which will provide an introduction to badminton covering the basic outline of the game, serving the shuttlecock and returning back within play. Previous players who need a refresher to play are also welcome.

Badminton is a great way of getting/keeping fit, as a low impact yet high results sport activity and playing with The Bad Mittens also provides a friendly environment where social interaction is just as important as playing the game.

We're hopeful that following this session you will be confident enough to join the regular weekly sessions with the wider group.

As we only have limited spaces, should you book then find that you can no longer attend please remember to cancel your space to allow for someone else to take the free place.

We've been able to provide these sessions free of charge to players thanks to funding provided by Leeds City Council. The Well-Being Fund grant is awarded by local Ward Members through the Inner West Community Committee.

The Bad Mittens are Leeds only LGBT+ inclusive badminton group who meet every Wednesday at Armley Leisure Centre, with a focus on fun & friendly games and meeting new people. Everyone is welcome to attend these sessions, you don't have to identify as LGBT+.

Bookings must be made in advance to attend due to the limit onattendees:
