On the 29th of November in London, Peter Tatchell has been awarded the Albert Medal for his 'tireless campaigning on human rights and social equality'. Awarded by the Royal Society of Arts (RSA), Peter is a campaigner of LGBT and human rights.
With the likes of Marie Curie, Franklin D Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, Steven Hawking and many other well known names, Peter himself said 'I am honoured but unworthy given the awesome global achievements of recent winners. He went on to deliver his acceptance lecture, which can be found here.
After we read through it, we believe he was indeed worthy of the award, its evident that Mr Tatchell is passionate about the fight for freedom.
