This the world we live in: Hyde Park Screening!

"THIS WORLD WE LIVE IN" challenges the social construct of masculinity through the story of image-conscious Joey, a 22-year-old student swept up in a new city, and begins to fall into an addiction of drugs to repress his inner demons. A film by Gage Oxley, starring Jack Parr in a provocative and twisted short film that aims to bring light to one of the darkest issues that face the gay community.

Critical Response:

★★★★★ - "A thrill ride of self-medicated identity crisis."- Gay Essential

★★★★★ - "Fiercely brave, directed with unwavering honesty."- SpiceUK

★★★★★ - "It draws you in, only to devastate you" - Leeds Student Television

★★★★½ - "‘This World We Live In’ is raw and acute. Its emotion is chronic and once emerged doesn’t let go. It is tensed like the feeling of being exposed and shocking like the uncensored truth."- TMFF - The Monthly Film Festival
